Education Services

I love sharing my knowledge and passion for music with others.

I received my Bachelors in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music (B.M. '11).

Private Lessons:

I am available for private piano and percussion lessons in 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute sessions. Whether you're preparing for college entry auditions, or if you just want to have fun learning tunes, I can help you out.

Our first 30-minute lesson/consultation is free!

"...The lesson went really well and he is multi-disciplinary which is what I wanted. He started the lesson off with music theory by clapping out the notes so she really understands what the notes sound like and what they look like. He also had her scale match on the piano with his voice. He didn't just teach music. He taught how to feel the music...this is exactly what I wanted from a teacher. She said he put a whole new dimension on learning piano. [My daughter] was getting burnt out on music and after the lesson with Christopher, she is really excited and motivated. We like that she is learning to really be in touch and feel the music instead of just teaching memorization."

K-12 Instruction:

I have presented clinics and masterclasses to public school students across New York and California and have served as a substitute teacher in over thirteen school districts.

I am a current member of the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

In 2020, I will be working with Villa Musica to coach marching bands and concert bands here in San Diego.

Collegiate Instruction:

I served as Associate Instructor for "MUS1: Fundamentals of Music," a three-quarter (one-year) undergraduate lecture course at the University of California San Diego.

Prior to this, I served as a Teaching Assistant in the UCSD music department for three years.
